The Great SMILE Book of Charms"The Great SMILE Book of Charms" contains descriptions of all the scientific experiments performed by the SMILE school students taking part in the Charms Class.
The Charms class is taught by the wizardess Monika Khan.

Did you know that spells which are used in Harry Potter books can be explained by science and its laws?
The members of six SMILE school houses have embarked on a journey of experimenting with charms and trying them out in real life, compiling the essential information in their final reports.
These are the charms that each house was assigned.
INCENDIO - Wisdom House
APARECIUM - Courage House
WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA - Humanity House
REVELIO - Justice House
ENGORGIO - Temperance House
LUMOS - Transcendence House
Let's find out the results of the collaborative work.

INCENDIO - WISDOM HOUSE
Do you think that heating the water so that it boils at a temperature lower than 100°C is magic? Not necessarily.
According to the house members, Incendio can be translated into English as "wild fire".
They needed a syringe and water to conduct the experiment.
Once they removed the oxygen bubbles from the water, they had to open the syringe creating lower pressure inside of it which made the water boil.
What they noticed is that when they pressed and opened the syringe, the pressure of water dropped allowing it to boil in a lower temperature but as they admitted it was not easy to do.

It works and it's not magic!!
Unsuccessful
Successful
APARECIUM - COURAGE HOUSE
Can you read something that seems invisible? With the help of heat, yes.
The members of this house found out that this charm meant "To reveal invisible writing".
They used a lemon, water, a bowl, a spoon, paper, Q-tips and a lamp.
During the experiment they wrote messages using Q-tips and water mixed with lemon juice. After that, they put the paper next to a hot lamp.
As a result, they could read the messages written on the paper.

WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA - HUMANITY HOUSE
Can objects float in the air? Do you need a magic wand to do it? The members of the Humanity House found out they could make a feather float in the air without a magic wand.
What is the meaning of this charm in English? It means "to make objects float in the air".
The students used a few objects during the experiment:
feathers, paperclips, fishing line, magnets, sticks,
electrical tape or other tape that is nicely coloured.
What happened in the experiment?
Students attached the magnet to a stick.
Then, they tied a piece of fishing line to a paperclip
which was then attached to a feather.
When the stick with the magnet was put next to
the feather, at first the feather stuck to it
and after that it levitated in the air.
