Bubbles and Ollie

The rules of the dance never said that boy fish couldn’t dance with other boy fish. The eel just didn’t agree with it. Ollie and Bubbles were sad at first, but decided that they would go to the dance together anyway.

The yellow fish introduced himself to Bubbles, and Bubbles learned that his name was Ollie. Bubbles loved Ollie’s flowy tail and pretty spots. Bubbles introduced himself and the two immediately started talking.

Ollie and Bubbles prepared for the dance and left that evening. They weren’t sure what the other fish would think, but they were happy to be going together. The eel watched them angrily.

The next day, Bubbles went to Ollie’s house to prepare for the dance. However, as they were preparing, an eel knocked on the door. The eel told Bubbles and Ollie that they couldn’t go to the reef dance together because they were both boy fish.

There was a dance at the reef only a few days away, and Bubbles was very sad. The fish were supposed to bring a dance partner to the party but Bubbles had no one to go with.

Bubbles decided to go for a lonely swim through the reef to get his mind off of the dance. On his swim, he saw the most handsome fish that he had ever seen. Their eyes met for a second and the yellow fish swam up to Bubbles.

Dedicated to my good friend Hannah, who offered to give me 30 dollars if I made my story about these characters. 

When Bubbles and Ollie arrived at the reef, the other fish stared at first, but later more boy fish came with other boy fish and girl fish came with other girl fish when they saw Bubbles and Ollie.

All of the fish, boy fish and girl fish alike had a great time at the dance and everyone realized that there are lots of fish in the sea. 

Ollie and Bubbles kept swimming and talking together. They swam and talked for hours and hours. They had such a good time that they agreed they would go to the reef dance together as partners.
