The story of an Artifact from New France.
My Artifact
My artifact is an axe from New France it has a wooden handle and a metal blade. It was used to skin animals of their fur and to cut wood for trade. This was important becuase it was how they ate back in New France they traded for food and or other resources.
So we start in central Quebec with a man on a mission. Max Pillbin was an Adventurer, who one day uncovered the trade axe in an old chasm, the trade axe was an ancient Artifact from New France. Max was searching for this piece of history for a long time. He had trouble finding this Artifact but after loads of struggle he did finally uncover it. So Max brought the old Axe back to his house one day so he can study the piece. That’s when he heard a knock on the wooden door of his home. It was a man in a dark brown trench coat. This man had to heavily armed guards behind him, they were both holding rifles and had helmets covering their faces. This man in the black coat pushed pass Max and turned around to face Max and in deep british tone he spoke. The man mumbled under his breath “what a cramped place” and motioned for his guards to restraint Max. They grabbed Max’s wrists and tied them together. They stood there aiming at max with their guns while the man spoke.

Max asked the man what this was all about. The man in the coat replied “I want that axe you found” the man then spoke again “where is it” the man demanded. Max did not say. Max was wiggling his hand and managed to grab his pocket knife and cut himself free. He sliced the guards leg and pulled the guard to the floor. He then killed the first guard while he stabbed the second. Max grabbed the gun off the floor and shot the other guard. The man in the coat was impressed he congratulated Max but Max was upset he aimed the rifle at the man. Max did not speak he just breathed. Then Max broke the silence, he said “get out!”. The shadowed man did not move. He just laughed, he then pulled out his hand gun and shot max with a tranquilized dart. Max fell to the floor with a thud.
Max woke up with a ringing sound in his head. He looked around and saw to men standing at the door. They had gas masks on and had hand guns in their hands. Then Max fell asleep and woke up in a new land. He was sitting in a wooden chair in a log cabin. At first he thought the man in the trench coat dosed him up with truth drugs, then he realized that he could touch things. He grabbed the axe he had found under the ground. It was sitting on a wooden desk in front of max. He got out of the chair and walked to the door. He looked out at the land scape it was not a place he knew. Max saw a entourage of british soldiers and a few New France farmers. He saw one man that stood out to him. Louis Hébert, a man he had studied. This was the man that owned the axe max was holding. Louis was dead he had to musket shots in his chest. Max thought to himself that means this is the day he died. The day no one knew about.

Then max woke up back in that room. It had tiled white walls and a flat roof. It also had a grey concrete floor. Max did not notice this before but he was not tied up. Then he heard a loud creak, the metal door that was directly in front of him opened. The man in the coat walked through he had a revolver in one hand and a rope in the other. He had the two guards at the door tie Max up. What the man did not know was that Max had his knife. Then he moved his face right in front of Maxes he said in his deep british tone “Where is the axe Max” Max kept calm and said back “go to hell”. So the man stepped back and his guard whacked Max in the Head with the stock of his gun. Max started to feel dizzy he could hardly keep his head up. Then the man asked again but this time Max was not having it. He cut free and punched the man, the man hit the floor. then he grabbed the guards gun and shot the guard with it he then turned and shot the other guard. Then he focused the barrel of the rifle on the man in black he said I’m done with this. He pulled the trigger. As Max walked passed the man to leave the man grabbed his leg, he said “that was a mistake, mate” the man had a detonator. So max kicked it from the mans hand and luckily did it before it went off.
The man in the black coat bleed out so max scurried over to the detonator and defused it. Max then left, he grabbed the axe and ran for the exit. As he got in a truck that was unlocked he looked at the axe closely. He noticed an inscription on the side of the handle. It said in French “ go to the mountains and meet me”. So Max went to the coordinates to see what the inscription meant. He found an old house in the middle of a ring of huge trees. Max walked up to door, he pulled the door open with his crowbar. He walked into the house and saw all the dead body’s from the siege on New France. He turned on his flash light. Now he was at the scene he saw in that dream or was it a flash back. So he pushed on through the house checking corners. Max had a little bit of training in military and police combat. So he knew what he was doing. Then max got to a table with an imprint of the axe and it said “ this will be yours someday, my son”. Louis Hébert had children. That must mean that I have a connection to him. My Mother’s last name is Hébert. Then max heard a bang he felt the pain of the bullet ripping through his body the pain it caused.
