Οι ολάνθιστοι επιτάφιοι της Μεγάλης Παρασκευής . Η αποκορύφωση του θείου δράματος.

On Holy Friday , epitaphs ( a wooden construction that represents Christ's tomb) are decorated with plenty of flowers by young girls , in churches. On it, the body of dead Jesus is embroidered.

Τα λαζαράκια είναι κουλούρια που φτιάχνονται το Σάββατο του Λαζάρου. Πήραν το όνομά τους από το Λάζαρο , στενό φίλο του Ιησού που πέθανε και τέσσερις μέρες με τά το θάνατό του , τον ανέστησε ο Κύριος . Έχουν ανθρωπόμορφο σχήμα με χέρια σταυρωμένα.

They are cookies which took their name from Lazarus, a Christ's close friend who had died and four days after his death, he was resurrected by Him. They have the form of a human being with crossed arms.

Σε πολλά μέρη οι άνθρωποι φτιάχνουν το ομοίωμα του Λαζάρου , στερεωμένο σε ξύλο, το οποίο περιφέρουν στους δρόμους τραγουδώντας τα λαζαρικά. 

In many places, people make the effigy of Lazarus ( Christ's friend) , from white cloth decorated with spring flowers. They fasten it on a piece of wood and walk around the streets singing carols called " Lazarika".
