"Coming Soon" - The analysis of Post-survey for students

"Coming Soon" eTwinning project helped students to gain a lot of skills thanks to different activities. Students' prejudices towards English changed for the better.  They learnt about new cultures. Their linguistic and digital competences  improved. Students gained awareness about internet security and copyrights. They improved their creativity while imagining and predicting what is coming soon. They have learnt by playing and web 2.0 tools. In the end, almost all of them were happy to be involved in this eTwinning project.

259 students think that they improved their creativity. (83.5%) 42 students think that they partially improved their creativity. (13.5%) 9 students think that they did not improve their creativity. (2.9%)

298 students say that this project has opened their mind to what is coming soon. (96.1%) 12 students say that this project has not opened their mind to what is coming soon. (3.9%)

This survey was applied to get the opinions of the students about the project. It contains 18 questions and was answered by 310 students. Let's take a look at the questions and answers together.

303 students are happy to be involved in this project. 7 students are not.

is a set of rules to follow on the net for 226 students. (72.9%) does not mean anything for 56 students. (18.1%) is a set of rules for good manner at home for 16 students. (5.2%) is a set of instructions to play a game for 12 students. (3.9%)

253 students think that their digital competences improved with this project. (81.6%) 53 students think that their digital competences partially improved with this project. (17.1%) 4 students think that their digital competences did not improve with this project. (1.3%)

233 students think that they can use any picture they like on the net only if the picture is not under copyright or if they have the author's permission. (75.2%) 37 students think that they can use any picture they like on the net. (11.9%) 40 students think that they cannot use any picture they like on the net. (12.9%)

By working on this project our students...

276 students believe that different activities were carried out in this project. (89.0%) 31 students partially believe that different activities were carried out in this project. (10.0%) 3 students do not believe that different activities were carried out in this project. (1.0%)

With this project; English became an easier lesson for 256 students. (82.6%) English partially became an easier lesson for 45 students. (14.5%) English did not become an easier lesson for 9 students. (2.9%)

277 students think that they have learnt about new cultures. (89.4%) 29 students partially think that they have learnt about new cultures. (9.4%) 4 students think thay they have not learnt about new cultures. (1.3%)

With this project; 269 students know more about internet security rules. (86.8%) 35 students maybe know more about internet security rules. (11.3%) 6 students do not know more about internet security rules. (1.9%)

A good eTwinner is... all of the above for 251 students. (81%) respectful for 24 students. (%7.7) polite and friendly for 23 students. (7.4%) inclusive for 6 students. (1.9%) tolerant for 6 students. (1.9%)

260 students think that they improved their linguistic competences with this project. (83.9%) 42 students think that they partially improved their linguistic competences. (13.5%) 8 students think that they did not improve their linguistic competences. (2.6%)

With this project; 287 students believe that they have been using web 2.0 tools better. (92.6 %) 23 students do not believe that they have been using web 2.0 tools better. (7.4 %)

280 students think that they have learnt by playing. (90.3%) 24 students partially think that they have learnt by playing. (7.7%) 6 students think that they did not learn by playing. (1.9%)

With this project; 280 students liked English more. (90.3%) 26 students partially liked English more. (8.4%) 4 students did not like English more. (1.3%)

289 students think their knowledge about Web 2.0 tools has been increased with this project. (93.2%) 21 students do not think their knowledge about Web 2.0 tools has been increased with this project. (6.8 %)
