E-BOOK ERASMUS FRANCE-CZECH REPUBLIC 4th to 19th May 2023

We are so happy that we found new friends and we like them a lot.

The visit of the town Concarneau was really good and we enjoyed it.

French food was yummy and we liked it a lot.

We all like shopping so we were shopping a lot.

First of all, the Czech Republic is a country of center Europe that is next to Poland, Germany, Slovakia and Austria.

In France we visited so beautiful beaches, old town Pont-Croix with typical architecture and also Concarneau which is a fishing port town near the ocean.

In Czechia they don't have the sea but in France we don't have car races in a town.

Czech food is a sweet and savoury mix, whereas in France there is a lot of sweet food with butter.

Our journey started in Czechia at 4 am on 12th May.

We traveled by train to Brno then by bus to Vienna airport

We flew to Paris and we waited there for 4 hours.

We took a second plane to Brest and the French teachers were waiting there for us.

Vysočina region-Náměšť nad Oslavou

Náměšť nad Oslavou and landscape around is really hilly. There are many forests. We were in forest on walk and on beautiful view points from where we can see all the town. We liked it. Another difference is our fields as we have larger fields and not so many lines with trees. We also took a car and we saw from it many hills and country differences around Náměšť. 

In the Czech Republic, there are a lot of amazing trees with a nice color,  incredible mountains and very beautiful butterflies.

On Friday after school we made a typical cake with strawberries and cake paste baked in the water for ten minutes.

The first night was hard for some of us. We had to adapt to different families and to a different language.

Otherwise the people here were really supportive and kind to us.

They made our time here nice and they prepared a truly interesting programme for us.

We are grateful and we enjoyed our time here.

Czechia-Náměšť nad Oslavou

The Czech Republic has 13 regions and France 18 regions

French regions : Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, PACA, Corse, Occitanie, Nouvelle Aquitaine, Bourgogne-Franche-Compté, Centre-Val-de-Loire, Pays de la Loire, Grand-Est, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France, Normandie, Bretagne, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyane, Mayotte et La Réunion.

Classrooms are clean and without pictures and decorations.

The pupils are energetic and full of life. They dance during the break.

Here is a different time schedule. And they have a 1 hour and a half break for lunch. 

The cafeteria is eco friendly and the kids can serve themselves how much food they want to prevent food wasting. In France there is a tradition that at the end of the meal they eat yoghurt and a slice of cheese, so we tried it and it was delicious !

We were really excited for our first day in the French school. The school is actually big and wide.

Lessons were really fun and teachers tried to talk with us in English.

Quimper is the city where the school is. In the picture, you can see the cathedral Saint Corentin, rivers Odet and Steïr. 

We visited an aquarium "the Aquashow" in Audierne. There are sea animals and birds.

Our best memories together were when we were all together with our friends. We had so much fun, we laughed, we sang, we cried. We experienced all the feelings together and the best one was happiness. Friends are important, and saying goodbye was hard, we will miss everyone. Kačka and Margot

At school, we attended biology, craft, robotics, English and music classes. We went to walk in Namest just to walk with the calm of the city and observe the differences concerning biodiversity. 

On Friday we went to Brno and we took the train and the bus to visit the town. So we walked for long hours and it was beautiful !!

We also took the train for PRAGUE ! We visited the cathedral and the big castle on Tuesday to understand Czech history so it was really fine !

In the weekend we saw a car race in the afternoon so it was really nice and good because the cars were amazing !! They went so fast too !

In Czechia, they take off their shoes to wear slippers and there are fewer lessons in a day than in France. They learn English or German as a second language whereas in France, we learn English, Spanish, German, Breton and Latin.

Brittany is really different. Here the countryside is really flat. Here are smaller amounts of forests but also you have here smaller fields and around them are lines of trees. But biggest difference is the sea. I really like it. Beaches are sandy which is a big plus. I liked the time that we spent there. In Brittany it rains a bit more but it was sunny during our stay... So everything is greener even in hot days but on our trip it didn't rain so we are lucky. And we could be in the sun all day long. I burnt myself. But the sun is worth it !

In the Czech Republic, there are many beautiful biodiversity, amazing sunsets , a big tree and an old turtle.
