Life growing up for Greta was difficult after being diagnosed wish Asperger Syndrome, yet again she never stoped fighting for what was right. Greta was born January 3, 2003 daughter to Svante Thunberg a actor, and Malena Ernman a opera singer. Greta Thunberg studied at Franska Skola a k-12 school.

Greta's career as an activist first began in the Swedish Parliament. She became well known after protesting outside the Swedish Parliament in 2018, when she was only 15 years old. She held a sign witch said "School Strike For Climate", to pressure the government to meet carbon emissions targets.

What Did Greta Fight For?

Greta Thunberg fought for climate change and to pressure the government into meeting carbon emissions target. Greta began with a one person strike outside the Swedish Parliament witch ended up spreading around the world. Greta also inspired many young people like us to start their own strikes!

Awards

Through out Greta's career as an activist she won many awards. For example she won the Glamour Award for the Revolutionary, in 2019 and the Shorty Award for best in activism in 2020. She was also the Youngest Time Person of the year in 2019. In addition, Greta won an Amnesty International award.
