John Newbery Medal Award
Hi 4th Grade. If you we were in school I would usually take the end of the year to talk in depth about the difference between the Caldecott Medal award and the John Newbery Medal award. The book I chose to read to you is both a Newbery winner and also a Caldecott Honor winner. Both of these awards are considered a really big deal. The Newbery Medal and Caldecott Medal are both awarded by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association. Let's take a look at both of them.
