"Tik tik tik" The keyboard is typing fast as Greta is trying to learn about climate change. She was thinking back to her lesson in a cold, dark school in Sweden. She was thinking about what the world would be like without climate change which is killing the environment. Right after she was done researching, she rushed downstairs.She had an angry conversation with her mum about never flying in an airplane because her mum is an opera singer and she travels a lot. So her mum Malena Arnman listened to her and agreed with her. Then Greta put up a sign saying "skolstrejk för klimatet (school strikes for climate)" Lots of people joined her message by going next to her with a sign with different messages.

Greta skipped school on Friday because she was planning to on a strike every Friday.
At night she worked hard to do what she needed to do to stop climate change. She had the best dream. She dreamt of the environment being healthy and growing strongly and NO MORE DAMAGE THE EARTH.
In her dream, she saw Just a regular-typical-with peace-a sunny morning and lots of animals in the calm deep blue sea. A land of tranquillity that ends in infinity. She never had nightmares in her life ever again.

Greta knew she needed more people to hear her. She took a boat to the US to try and persuade the United Nations that climate change was important. She didn't want to travel by plane as it is bad for the environment.
She had a very long and angry speech because the UN thought it was not important. The world leaders ignored her.
"This is all wrong! I shouldn't be up here, I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come to us young people for hope? HOW DARE YOU!" Greta said with disappointment.
Greta continued talking to the government, she was disheartened.
She had a very long and angry speech because the UN thought it was not important. The world leaders ignored her.
