Luka Modric

Luka Modric was born on September 9th,1985, in Zadar, Croatia

Early Life

His parents are Stipe Modric and Radojka Modric. Unfortunately for Modric his dad had to leave at a very young age to fight in the Croatian war. He shortly became a refugee and lived in the Kolovare hotel with his family for years.

Luka Modric made his professional debut as a footballer for famous Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb. Luka played about 100 games for the side and after that he would be loaned out to the following teams: HSK Zrinjski and Inter Zapresic. Then he would go on to play for Premier league side Tottenham Hotspur.

Luka had a great run in the Qatar World cup and he pulled of some good results although he unfortunately he could not get by world cup winning side Argentina in the semi-finals. So because Croatia lost in the semi-finals they played a 3rd place match and bet Morocco 2-1
