ABOUT GEOGRAPHY

IN THE CAROLINAS THEY MOSTLY GREW INDIGO.

The crops mostly grow well in hot steamy summers

They grew corn, wheat, tobacco, and fruit trees

Framers Grew crops and Tobacco. Raised cattle. They also Sold Slaves. 🥺

The New England Colonies have colder winters and warm summers. Which can get you sick with cold weather.

The Delaware River provided rich soil, timber and other raw materials.

Virginia had the very first successful settlement. (Jamestown)

New England had a rocky coastline and was not good for growing crops. Come to the South and grow crops instead.

The Southern Colonies give you Hot summers and Warm winters.

They would make money by building, fishing, and whaling, and shipbuilding. Don’t spend your time doing boring stuff like that come down and grow wonderful plants.

They had many jobs as in farming, merchants, miners, lumber men, and trappers. Really boring jobs that are really nothing like ours.
