About The Author And Book
My name is Charlie. Here is a book I made about Jacques Cartier’s voyage to Canada. I have created a collage of Jacques Cartiers men raising the cross to show that Canada was “owned” by them. I made the collage on Canva. I also created 3 gifs, one of their carvel boats sailing over to Canada, the cross being placed, and how Jacques Cartier got to Canada. I made these gifs on keynote, and used my keynote skills to create these gifs. I made a WordPack, which is all these words that describe Jacques Cartier and his voyage while put into an image. I also drew Jaques on procreate. Lastly I created a conversation between Jaques and King Francis l. I also made this on keynote. Overall I learned more and out Jacques Cartier and why they placed the cross on new found land.

Gif Of Jacques Cartiers Boats Going Up The River
The sun just raised, and out of the corner of my eye I see land. I as trying to find a north west passage way to Asia. I wanted to find valuable things like gold and spices along the way. I yell to my men and tell them to go closer and go up the river to get further into the land. It was very windy and the tides were going out. Our carvel boat just made it.

They say they are the Haundenosaunee First Nations, and they were in the location of Stadacona, and Hochelaga. They called the city where they lived Ca-Nada. But I think why not call it the name of the country.

A Collage Of Jaques Men Raising The Cross To Claim The Land
A bit later we finally raise the cross we brought and found a good place to place it. My men, and the First Nations gathered around and watched as we raised the cross. My men pulled the cross to be standing tall with all of their muscles. It was beautiful the way it was placed.
