About the Santa Elena Cloud Forest
The Santa Elena Cloud Forest is very cloudy. Also, the Santa Elena cloud forest has over 2000 species of plants, a surprising 80 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, also around 100 amphibians and reptile species, and thousands within thousands of insects. This rainforest also is known as the "terrain of the cloud forest" because it is super cloudy. It is so cloudy at this rainforest the clouds cover 26000 acres of the forest. Lastly, the forest is being destroyed, but we can stop it by telling people to stop. (Information inspired by Arindom Ghosh.)

In the Santa Elena Forest, there are a lot of mysterious creatures and insects but let's talk about them. First up is the jaguar. Jaguars are endangered because people admire them for their beauty. Second is the jaguarundi which is a pretty unique animal, and it has black fur and is sneaky at catching its prey. Third are poison dart frogs. poison dart frogs are bright little frogs that are very poisonous, and their bright colors warn predators that they are very poisonous. Next up is monkeys. Monkeys are very talented because they can jump tree to tree vine to vine and many more talents. Third is the scary spiders. Even though spiders are small most people don’t like them which is okay, but sometimes people are a little too scared and splat! Next up is birds. Birds are beautiful by their natural colors and how the sun is shining bright on their wings making the colors even more beautiful. Lastly are sloths. Though sloths are slow that doesn’t mean that they can do things like other animals. Sloths can protect themselves from predators by slashing their claws at predators to protect them like other animals can. (Animals inspired by Alex Jaskolowska.)

The plants
(Bromelaid)
The plants In the Santa Elena rainforest are really moist because since it is so cloudy and wet fog comes up off the ground. Also, there is fuzzy wet moist moss on the trunks of the trees. There is also a lot of trees in the forest which weigh hundreds of species of bromeliads, mosses, orchids, lichens, and liverwort. (Plants information inspired by Costa Rica.com.)
