In 1920 my family and I went to Angel Island.

My mom and I went to our cabin. The number is 21. I noticed that there were only girls. I asked my mom why. 	 She said, “The boys are separated from the girls.” 	We got sent to the office and found out that Zimo was sick. 	“He got sick from the flu, said Dr. Williams. 	He was coughing, sniffing, and sneezing. 	"He is getting worse.’’ said Dr. William's. My mom and I hide the bed so the guards don’t find Zimo.

	Zimo is sick and the guards found him. They take him to the hospital. In the months that followed, Zimo got better and my family and I asked lots of families where Zimo could be. And my family wanted to get Zimo out of the hospital and through the guards. Me and Zimo sneaked through the guards while our parents distracted them. We found our way out and escaped. We waited for our parents until they came out. We started walking around the place then I saw the guards guarding something. We sneaked closer and the guards were talking to people on a boat. We thought it was something bad.  My brother and I burned the building down and no one in history knew.

"Hi, I am Mei, and I have a family. Zimo is my brother, Lixin is my dad, and Hina is my mom. We are traveling to Angel Island from China and we are going to Angle Island to go to America. We get on the boat. As we walk on we get splashed by the ocean's water. 	 “Run, we have to get to the rooms.” My mom said. When we noticed that it was separated we said our goodbyes to my brother and father that morning. Two months passed and we got breakfast and we ran to the boy's room. We saw that they had already left so we ran as fast as we could and it was so crowded but we still couldn't find my dad and brother so we got in line and hoped for the best.
