First, the colonists arrived in <a href="https://www.thoughtco.com/american-history-4133354">America</a>. There were disagreements, and the French and Indian War broke out. Next, King George III established taxes upon the colonies. These taxes would help King George repay the debt of the French and Indian War. Finally, the colonists got angry because taxes were high. But the British thought that the taxes were more than fair. This tension between the British and the colonists sparked the Revolutionary War.

The main cause of the French and Indian War was Britain and the Native Americans disagreeing about the land. The Native Americans thought that Britain had too much, but the British disagreed. In truth, though, the British did have a lot of land, and they were taking it from the <a href="https://www.history.com/topics/native-american-history/native-american-cultures">Native Americans</a>. These disagreements between Britain and the Native Americans started the French and Indian war.

The Boston Tea Party was a protest that was much more peaceful than the Boston Massacre. One night, several colonial men dressed as <a href="https://www.colonialwilliamsburg.org/learn/deep-dives/boston-tea-party/">Mohawk </a>Indians snuck aboard three British ships which were carrying many chests of tea. Once aboard, they broke the chests of tea and threw them into the water. They did this in protest of the taxes that <a href="https://www.royal.uk/george-iii">King George III</a> had inflicted on them. Afterwards, they slipped away under the cover of night. In the morning, British commoners looking over the bay saw a strange sight; many tea leaves washing up on the shore. This was one of the most famous protests of the American Revolution.

After seven years of fighting in the French and Indian War, Britain stood triumphant. the Native Americans were forced to leave their territory, and Britain got their land. But the French and Indian war was expensive, costing about $144,368,010.20. Wow! King George III actually didn't have enough money to pay the bill. But then he got an idea. He would <a href="https://www.nps.gov/articles/000/sugar-and-stamp-acts.htm">tax </a>the colonists for sugar, stamps, windows, and other things. then, when he had enough money, he would pay his debt back.

In the Boston Massacre, a British solider was standing guard at the <a href="https://www.nps.gov/nr/travel/maritime/cus.htm">Commons House</a> late on a snowy night. Suddenly, a boy appeared and started shouting insults at him. The solider hit the boy with his gun and the boy retreated, crying. Later, however, he came back with his friends. They too shouted insults and hurled rocks. Next, General Preston came to the scene and told the crowd that had formed to go home. But, they stood their ground. Finally, the British started shooting at the crowd. In the end, three men had been killed and others were wounded.
