After they got the girl out of the car, the firefighters went to the driver to save him as well, but it was too late since they found out that the driver had been stabbed by one of the beams. Because of the shock, he did not make it. He sacrificed himself for his daughter's life.
The first intervention crews did everything they could, unfortunately it was not enough to save the girl's father as well.

This morning, a terrible vehicle accident occurred at 9 AM on the North-South Freeway in Austin, Texas. Three people were involved in the car crash, unfortunately one of them passed away.

A truck driver irregularly stopped due to mechanical issues. The car behind the truck was preceded by another vehicle, which collided with the truck, since the other car changed the lanes suddenly. The truck was carrying iron beams. Due to the impact, the beams fell and hit the car. Some of them entered through the windshield, injuring those in the car.
In short time, the firefighters arrived and analyzed the situation. They decided to remove the passenger from the vehicle, at the driver's request, saying that he was safe and unharmed.
