As primary teachers we have had so much fun, Learning about the EW cogs, each and every one!
The training inspired us to create a wee character to help P2,
To learn more about their emotions and how to manage them too!

Our journey with “Coggly” began with stories of lockdown and memories galore,We shared our likes and dislikes and so much more.
This helped us to feel settled and happy back in school,
Getting to know one another better was really cool.
“Coggly” helped us to explore each cog in many a different way,
We talked, read stories, created art and learned through play!
The Colour Monster was the very first story we read,
Helping us to make sense of feelings words inside our head.
We talked, read stories, created art and learned through play!
The Colour Monster was the very first story we read,
Helping us to make sense of feelings words inside our head.
We created orange cogs with words like happy and sad,
And drew pictures of what we might do when we were calm or mad!
We listened to a story about a worried little cog called Coggly,
Who, when he thought about school, had a bit of a wobbly.
We learned how Coggly felt his worry in every place,
Sweaty hands, wobbly knees, pounding heart, flushed face!
