A simile is “comparing two things using like or as” this is a poem using similes
My worldview is like a window
That I see the world through
I try to look at the world the world
With a critical eye
As if I was playing eye spy
I live on earth
like any other person
And I love it here
That I see the world through
I try to look at the world the world
With a critical eye
As if I was playing eye spy
I live on earth
like any other person
And I love it here

A haiku is a poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world here’s 3 I made
1. Time is important
Some say that time is money
I now realize
2. Feel bad for nature
It gives, we take, it gives more
not much more to give
3. The world we live in
Ever changing, ever dying
How can we fix this
Some say that time is money
I now realize

It gives, we take, it gives more
not much more to give
3. The world we live in
Ever changing, ever dying
How can we fix this

A metaphor is comparing two unlike things this is an extended metaphor in a poem
Personification means “the attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form.”
The world is young to me
Life is like a whisper. It’s not always loud and in-your-face. It’s only when you slow down and listen that you hear what’s most important.
I’ve only walked it for 14 years
These 14 years have been crazy
Amazing places, experiences and people
So many whispers in such a short time.
These things have made me who I am
They shaped me
They will continue to shape me
They make me who I am
Hopefully, they did a good job

He stands tall in front of you with a powerful presence
Green eyes and sharp features
Short brown hair swept gently to the side
He speaks with an unplaceable accent
He kind of looks like Ryan Reynolds
Dressed in a suit, tie and jacket
Every time you see him, he’s a little different
It may be a big change, or a small detail
But he’s always changing, adapting, shifting
Ever since you where little, he’s been shaping
From things you learn and things you experience
Always growing and helping you learn
Green eyes and sharp features
Short brown hair swept gently to the side
