A Night With Grandma

    You walk in the deep and dark woods as the shining stars light up you way. Suddenly you hear a growl. Oh my gosh! Is that a bear. Wait... oh. Turns out it was your stomach. That makes you feel very hungry all of a sudden. Suddenly  you hear loud siren. Is someone finally here to save you?

shoved it in your mouth. Mint flavour! Your favourite( Or not, but it sure is mine!) About 3 seconds later, the cake starts shaking.

The next thing you know, you are sitting on a chair in a dark spacious room. you still have your can of beans. Suddenly, several lights on the wall turns on. You don't remember much. But you are pretty sure this is a basement. You see a faint silhouette of what seems to be a cake. You stand up even though you legs feel a little bit wobbly but you can manage to stay in shape. You walk towards the silhouette as your once blurry vision becomes clearer and clearer. "Click!" Something clicks. " Oh no! Is something going to happen to me" you think. Unpredictably, a giant, bright light turns on while the lights on the walls slowly fades away. You see a ginormous cake. It has a pastel colour palette consisting of blue, pink, green and white. It has three layers. Near the cake, there is a card which says " Try me!" What? That is very random but you decide to try it anyways. You scoop some whipped cream with you finger and

What could be going on. Suddenly, a hand punches out of the cake as small droplets of whipped cream splashes your face and the hand. Later the hand starts to rip out bits and bits of the "cake". "Stay back!" you scream as you point your can. You soon discover it wasn’t even a cake to begin with, it was just a big piece of cardboard in the shape of a cake! Suddenly, everything explodes. You thought this is going to be the end, so you accidentally spill the can of beans! "Sur-!" A lot familiar voices shouted and paused dramatically. It turns out you accidentally pour the beans on grandma. How unfortunate! Turns out Grandma and Mom invited all your friends to celebrate your birthday. You partied till midnight and obviously you ate a cake. A normal sized one of course.

You choose to ignore them. You gave them another cold stare. They look a little pissed. Grandma scoffs and suddenly Mom's eyes gleams with an idea. "Let's settle this..." Mom smirks slyly," with a game of Rock, paper, scissors." Grandma nods her head as a sign of agreement. "Rock! Paper! Scissors! Shoot!" Mom won the game and celebrates with a victorious cheer and starts to prepare to go out to buy McDonalds."Well, order here on my phone!" Mom hands you her phone. After you are done ordering you give Mom's phone to grandma in order for her to order her preferred choice of meal. "Well off I go!" Mom exclaims and rushes out the front door. You stare at Grandma awkwardly and she stares at you back.

     To break the silence, you asked "Hey Grandma-" But before you could finish your sentence Grandma just ignores you and goes upstairs after snatching the detailed ring with a big diamond attached to it. Well now you have nothing to do other than sit and finished your 500 paged book.

It has been over an hour and Mom still hasn't come back home yet. What could she possibly doing? It doesn't take over an hour to buy McDonalds since its only a block away. You are starting to get worried. What if something terrible or fatal has happened to her? You try to shake these bad thoughts off your mind. Then you hear two faint voices upstairs expect there's no person upstairs other than Grandma! Who could it possibly be? You are starting to get curious and even more curious. You really want to eavesdrop but you know it's not the right thing to do.

You sneak upstairs. "Hey! What are you doing here!" you yell confidently. "What do you mean? I-I'm your mom!" She said nervously. " You're supposed to buy me and grandma McDonalds! Speaking of which where is grandma?" you wailed angrily. Poof! a giant cloud of smoke covers the entire room. Cough! Suddenly, a bag covers your face.

You eavesdrop on them. Turn to page 33-----------&gt; It is probably nothing . Turn to page 34-----------&gt; Confront them. Turn to page the next page------------&gt;

After the party is over, you thank both mom and grandma. "You know, you can always visit again." Grandma smiles in a bone-chilling way. Just as you are getting comfortable around grandma, you suddenly feel cold around her again. Maybe, grandma will still make you feel weird, but at least you know she will always love you...

You keep walking through the woods narrow dirt path. You can barely see in the dark but you continue walking. Suddenly you come across three crossroads, each with their own independent sign. The first says "Hiking Trial", the second sign says " Danger! Do not go!", the last sign says "Camping site." If we go to either of the hiking trial or the camping site, there might be a chance that somebody might be there!

     You go to the hiking trail. Unpredictable choice but okay. 

Unfortunately, there aren't any people there. That's it you have wasted all your energy. Is this going to be it? In the brink of death, you hear a loud siren. Then everything turned black...

Go to the hiking trail. Turn to page 30----------&gt; Go to the campsite. Turn to page 37---------&gt; Go to the "Dangerous place" Turn to page 47--------&gt;

You thought this is going to be the end, but thankfully its not! "Surprise!" A lot of familiar voices shouted. You turn around and turns out it is Mom, Grandma and all your friends. You partied till midnight and obviously you ate a cake. A normal sized one of course.

You choose to run away. Just why would you do that? You quickly start running despite both Mom and Grandma chasing after you and pleading you to stop. As you keep running, you unknowingly run into the woods. You continue to keep running and soon after you realise you aren't in a place where you are familiar of"Im in the middle of the woods!" you thought. You soon acknowledge that you literally have nothing in your hands except for the book you were reading. What will you do?

Start scavenging for food and resources. Turn to page 25--------&gt; Scream for help. Turn to page 26---------&gt; Try to find your way out. Turn to page 27-------&gt; Finish reading the book. Turn to page 29--------&gt;

You choose to ignore the smoke and continue reading. Just as you were about to keep reading, Mom runs down the stairs and screams worried " What is going on?". You give her a cold stare and continue reading your book. She looks a little pissed but she ran in the kitchen as quickly as possible. A few moments later, both mom and grandma come out of the kitchen.

"Hey honey," Mom says in a calm voice."we need you to choose something. Would you like to eat McDonalds or eat here?" You give it a deep thought and reply...

You choose to eat food from outside. Turn to the next page.-----&gt; You let Grandma make the food again. Turn to page 11. --------&gt; You run away. Turn to page 17. -------&gt; You make it yourself. Turn to page 15. ----------&gt; You ignore them. Turn to page 19.----------&gt;

      You found a lot of sticks and stones. You also found some round orange  berries. Now you are thinking what could you do with these materials. You thought for awhile and finally something hit you. You can either use the sticks and stones to build a small camp or start a fire. Also, you are starting to consider if you should eat the berries or not.

You keep trying to start a fire. All of a sudden, a hint of light sparks in the rocks and wood. Eventually a warm and bright fire starts burning. You start to get sleepy. You make a comfy bed with leaves and sleep next to the warm fire.

Build a campfire. Turn to the next page---------&gt; Build a camp. Turn to page 45----------&gt; Eat the berries. Turn to page 46-----------&gt;

In the middle of the night, you are woken up by a red light and a loud siren with a helicopter propeller humming. You realise someone is definitely looking for you! You scream "Help me! Please!" as you wave your hands in the air.

"Help me!" you keep screaming continuously for about 5 minutes until your throat is dried and you are tired. You feel so hopeless right now. You fall on the ground with no strength left, all you can try to do now is to wait for a miracle to happen. In the middle of the night, you are woken up by a red light and a loud siren with a helicopter propeller humming. You realise someone is definitely looking for you! With barely any strength left you let out a shrilling scream, and then everything you see starts to fade. Soon after, you black out.

You choose to make it yourself. Unfortunately you don't know how to cook. Therefore you have to make a choice again.

You choose to eat food from outside. Turn to page 9.-----&gt; You let Grandma make the food again. Turn to page 11. --------&gt; You run away. Turn to page 13. -------&gt;

You finish reading the book. Fortunately it was a book about botany. At least now you know which plants to avoid. You turn around to see if there is anything that you can use for survival. You catch a glimpse of a tree. Not just any tree, a mulberry tree! In case you don't know what that is, it is edible. You snatch some out of the tree and stuffed them in your mouth. You might not have escaped, but at least now you don't have to worry about starving to death.

Suddenly, a bright light shines on you! Someone must have finally found you! A rope fell helicopter" Grab on, kid!" A woman with a cowboyish voice yells. You grab on to the rope and "Whoosh!" the rope pulls you up at the speed of light. "Hey, get some water!" She throws a water bottle at you.You are so thirsty you forgot how water tastes like. You opened it and started drinking. As the cool water fills your mouth, you begin to wonder" Who is this woman? I don't even know her. I know she must be looking for me. But seriously, who is she?" You decide to not say anything. You should be very grateful for being saved. You decide to not think much about it and sit there obediently.

About 2 hours later, you start to feel nauseous. Suddenly, you black out!

You choose for Grandma to cook the food. " Hmm... I guess Grandma can make the food again" Mom rolls her eyes and scoffs as Grandma pat your head and went to the kitchen. "Well I'm going to prepare for dinner!" Grandma said that and headed for the kitchen.

      Mom went upstairs and continue using her phone.

"It's dinner time!" Grandma shouted. Both you and Mom head to the dining room. Grandma took out a plate full of black muddy lasagna. Grandma smiles forcefully and says " Come on, eat up!" You really don't want to eat the food, but you also don't want to make Grandma disappointed.

 You eat the food uneasily as grandma stares at you intimately. Now you really have no choice but to finish your food bit by bit. You see Mom twirling her fork around and says" Go on, eat it." How unfair is that? You take a bite and a few moments later, you black out!

You choose to eat the food. Turn to page 24---------&gt; Run away. Turn to page 13-----------&gt;

You choose to run away. Just why would you do that? You quickly start running despite both Mom and Grandma chasing after you and pleading you to stop. She saw ashes and churned wood everywhere. "Mom, are you okay?" she questions with panic. Grandma replies" Yes, I'm fine. I was just cooking." " Well, maybe we can order fast food outside?" Mom suggests. " Of course not! How can you let your child eat junk food! I can cook again." Grandma scolds. But Mom insists. "What do you think, honey?" Mom asks you. Now it's up to you. What will you choose?

You choose to barge into the kitchen. You were about to save Grandma but suddenly, you saw something that you weren't expecting. Instead of Grandma needing help, she was bravely extinguishing a fire with a big bucket of water! " Step back!" she yells. And within a few seconds, the fire turns into a thin streak of smoke. "Phew! That was close!" you say with a relieved face. " I'm sorry for scaring you just now. I was just trying to cook dinner." grandma explained. All of a sudden, Mom comes in with a horrified look. " Mom, are you okay?" she questions with panic. Grandma replies" Yes, I'm fine. I was just cooking." " Well, maybe we can order fast food outside?" Mom suggests. " Of course not! How can you let your child eat junk food! I can cook again." Grandma scolds. But Mom insists. "What do you think, honey?" Mom asks you. Now it's up to you. What will you choose?

Turns out Grandma and Mom invited all your friends to celebrate your birthday. You partied till midnight and obviously you ate a cake. A normal sized one of course. You still haven't gotten you McDonalds yet sadly :(

" Hmm... I will choose to eat food from outside I guess" Grandma rolls her eyes and scoffs as Mom pat your head and gets ready to leave. "Well order here on my phone!" Mom hands you her phone.

After you ordered your meal and gives Mom's phone to Grandma. Grandma orders her meal and gives it to Mom.

        "Well bye!" Mom exclaims and runs out of the house cheerfully.

Please do not think that your grandma is evil because they are actually very cool. For the record, I did draw everything myself. This is a pick-a-path book. Read until you have multiple choices. Flip to the page of your choice. Simple. Let's begin!

   You decide to make a small camp with some big leaves and branches. Wow you can't believe you just did all that! As soon as you go inside you hear a loud siren. Finally! Someone is here to save you!

 You eat the berries. Yum! Their sweetness immediately blinds you taste buds. Suddenly you start to feel nauseous and dizzy. Then everything starts to fade, then turns black!

On your birthday, Grandma invited you to her house to celebrate. However, unlike most children, you weren't excited at all. You don't feel comfortable around Grandma and her house because she sometimes does very weird things. Plus, her house is old and pretty decayed, it also smells funny.

A few moments later, Grandma still hasn't come back yet. You are very bored so you decide to look around, while doing that, you catch a glimpse of something shiny. You decide to go to it to inspect it. Suddenly, you hear Grandma come down. " What seems to have caught your attention?" she asks. " This shiny thing, what is it?" you reply. She pulls out a detailed ring with giant diamond attached to it. She hands you the ring and goes to the kitchen to prepare for tonight's dinner.

"Hello dear, how was school today?" Grandma welcomes you with a creepy smile. "Fine." you say uncomfortably. Even mom looks a little scared. Grandma proceeds to walk with you in the living room. She hands you her remote control and says" Would you like to watch anything?" You shake your head. Grandma walks to your bag and picks it up and goes upstairs to put it in her room.

Approximately ten minutes later, you are reading a book when a cloud of thick smoke from the kitchen starts to fill the whole living room. Suddenly, you realise that Grandma is still cooking in the kitchen! What if she started a fire? What are you going to do?

You barge into the kitchen right now to check what is going on. Turn to the next page. -----&gt; You call someone for help. Turn to page 5. -----&gt; You ignore the smoke and continue reading. Turn to page ------7&gt;

" Oh my god! Are you okay? Here, have some water!" A woman with a cowboyish voice yells. She bring you to a spacious tent. She throws a water bottle and a can of beans at you.You are so thirsty you forgot how water tastes like. You opened it and started drinking. As the cool water fills your mouth, you begin to wonder" Who is this woman? I don't even know her. I know she must be looking for me. But seriously, who is she?" You decide to not say anything. You should be very grateful for being saved. You decide to not think much about it and start eating the beans.

"Hey Amanda! You're finally here! And Timmy! You've grown so much! The basement is downstairs. Try to not get noticed. Good luck!"

What? You are so confused. The basement? What does that have to do with anything important? Should you go down there?

      Eh... It's probably nothing. You continue to finish reading your book. Suddenly, you smell rotten eggs. Hmm... Probably nothing again. As minutes passed, you get sleepier and sleepier. This continued with for about 10 minutes. Suddenly you feel yourself making comfortable on the sofa.
