At the very end of this term, I was asked about why I was so proud to belong to Bude Juniors.
Beyond everything that is so wonderfully captured on these pages - the excellent teaching and learning, the enriching experiences, the purposefulness and delight of our children, it is our togetherness and common purpose. Our strength of community and drive for the best for all of our children binds us, and makes each of us individually better and collectively so much more. Well done and thank you everyone!

World Book Day 2024

Our school was filled with the stuff of awe and wonder on World Book Day this year.

We are all so proud of the incredible story jars our children so creatively, thoughtfully and ingeniously crafted and constructed.

A big thank you to all of our parents and carers who came to view our wonderful exhibition.

Aspire 40 Challenge

Well done to our relay team who completed the first stage of the Aspire 40 Connect Relay Challenge!

The sun shone, the children waved us off and we were very proud to be a part of such a great event raising money for Comic Relief and the Youth Sport Trust.

Science Week saw us looking at the idea of 'time' . We thought about how we could increase the biodiversity in the school grounds and recognised that this was something that would take time. We did some research into our plastic footprint. Over time, we will be thinking about how we can decrease our plastic consumption but recognised that a change needs to come in government policy.

Science Week 2024

Year 3 made bug hotels and hedgehog houses. We eagerly await out first visitors!

Year 6 had an owl to visit and looked at how important different habitats are for their success in the future.

Every class had a awe-inspiring session in the Space dome too!

A selection of children from Year 3&4 competed in a football festival at Stratton School. They were a real credit to our school, demonstrating incredible resilience, fitness and teamwork. We had some great results and fantastic performances.

Sports Events

Our whole school took part in a speed bounce challenge as part of Comic Relief celebrations. Children counted how many two feet bounces they could complete in 2 minutes. How many could you do at home?

Poppy Class

Poppy class have had a wonderful time this half term learning about our oceans. We spent the first few weeks learning about ocean layers and sealife. Later in the term, we had a trip to the beach to explore the sand, sea and seaweed! We had a great time exploring all the different textures at the beach and enjoyed navigating our way there!
