Autumn Term 2
31st October - 19th December 2023
End of term round up with Mrs Robinson
Welcome to the final celebration book of 2023!

It is always heart warming to see all the great experiences that have happened over the half term at Bude Juniors- it is a true reflection of our exciting curriculum we offer.
This will be the final one from me as I hand over to James Pritchard who will be the interim Head of School from January 2024.
I would like to take this opportunity to say how proud I am of everything that has been achieved over the last three years. I am very sad to be leaving but know this is the right decision for me and the school.
When I started in my role at Bude, my ambition was to become a leader of a 'Stand Out' school - and it is. It stands out for its warmth, its inclusion, and its community. It is a school that gives you a great big hug! Christmas is a time for thanks and celebration and I thank everyone for all their support, kind words and understanding and I celebrate all the hard work and learning showcased in this book.

So here's to health and happiness in 2024.

Take care of yourselves and each other.

Our Christmas celebrations
We had lots of festive fun during our Christmas lunch!

We then performed our Christmas carol concert for our parents and carers.
It was just beautiful.

Our learning behaviour this half term... Resilience
This year, part of our school development is to raise the profile and understanding of our six learning behaviours: independence, collaboration, curiosity, creativity, reflection and resilience.

The learning behaviour we have been focusing on this half term is …. Resilience. All year groups have had an assembly around what resilience is and some of the ways we can show resilience. As a staff team, we have selected different texts to share with the children that demonstrate our learning behaviours. This half term, we chose Emmanuel’s Dream - ask your child how they think Emmanuel demonstrated resilience and most importantly have they have demonstrated resilience at school this half term.
