'Lacy, why can't I be in the kitchen when Mummy is not around?' Tommy often complains.

'Children should not be left alone in the kitchen Tommy.'

'But I'm a very good cook!' he insists.

Lacy laughed, and smiled at her brother.

'Of course you are. But we still need adult supervision in the kitchen to prevent hurting ourselves.'

'Okay Lacy. What about when Mummy is home?' Tommy asked excitedly.

'She will help us in the kitchen. But we still need to practice kitchen safety, because one mistake can cause a big accident.'

Tommy remembered when he burnt his arm from a hot pot.

He didn't want to feel that pain again, so he asked Lacy how he could be careful in the kitchen.
Here are some of the things Lacy told Tommy:
Clean up kitchen spills as soon as they happen.
Keep sharp objects in locked drawers.
Lacy also told Tommy about safety practices for the food we eat:
Wash fruits and vegetables before using them.
Store food appropriately in sealed containers.
'Thank you Lacy. I understand much more about kitchen safety now.

Can you help me to come up with the safety rule for these two pictures?'

'I heard that Grade 2R has some brilliant students. I know they would be happy to help you!' Lacy said.
