1.1 Social administration
Social assistance represents the set of measures and activities carried out to satisfy the social needs of the person or family, in order to overcome some difficult situations, as well as to prevent social marginalization and exclusion, including the provision of social benefits.
Social benefits are granted in the form of compensations, allowances, allowances, social aid, material and other types.
Who is entitled to social assistance:

children and young people whose health, development and physical, mental or moral integrity are harmed in the environment in which they live;
families that do not properly fulfill their obligations regarding the care, maintenance and education of children;
families with no or low income;
families affected by domestic violence;
people without family, who cannot manage by themselves, who require care and supervision or are unable to cope with socio-medical needs;
families with three or more children;
single-parent families with children;
the elderly;
disabled people;
other people and families in difficulty.
