Social assistance represents the set of measures and activities carried out to satisfy the social needs of the person or family, in order to overcome some difficult situations, as well as to prevent social marginalization and exclusion, including the provision of social benefits.
Social benefits are granted in the form of compensations, allowances, allowances, social aid, material and other types.
Who is entitled to social assistance:

families that do not properly fulfill their obligations regarding the care, maintenance and education of children;
families with no or low income;
families affected by domestic violence;
people without family, who cannot manage by themselves, who require care and supervision or are unable to cope with socio-medical needs;
families with three or more children;
single-parent families with children;
the elderly;
disabled people;
other people and families in difficulty.

1.2 Voluntary organizations
Volunteering is a voluntary act by an individual or a group that gives free time and labor to serve the community
Voluntariatul este activitatea de interes public desfășurată din proprie inițiativă de orice persoană fizică, în folosul altora, fără a primi o contraprestație materială.
PRINCIPLES:
participation as a volunteer, activity of public interest, unpaid and based on a freely consented decision of the volunteer;
the volunteer's active involvement in community life;
carrying out volunteering with the exclusion of remuneration from the beneficiary of the activity;
the participation of people in voluntary activities, based on equal opportunities and treatment, without discrimination;
voluntary activity does not replace paid work;
the public interest nature of the volunteering activity
Volunteering is voluntary and generally takes place in an organized setting under the auspices of an organization or foundation. The activities through which we offer our resources to those in need are also beneficial for volunteers, as we make friends and socialize with people with similar concerns, develop new skills that will help us in our future careers, and help us feel fulfilled , due to the contribution to the good of the community or of a person.
