Photosynthesis is the process in which green plants use sunlight in order to make their own food. We will now discuss how this works!
What do plants need to live?
Plants need three basic things to live. These are water, sunlight, and carbon dioxide. Plants soak up water from rain. They use sunlight as energy. Lastly, they breathe in carbon dioxide, and breathe out oxygen.
How does photosynthesis work?
Photosynthesis begins when chlorophyll in plants absorbs energy from sunlight hitting it. Chlorophyll is a substance in the leaves of plants. Green plants then use this energy to change water and carbon dioxide into nutrients and sugars. The oxygen the plants breathe out is released into the air.
