Welcome to Aspire Academy Trust
Aspire is a vibrant, highly successful and widely recognised Trust determined to raise standards of educational achievement to the very highest levels. We don’t just aim for our children to achieve what is average or expected, but for them to excel both academically and in character.
We live in a global economy that requires our children to be prepared to think both critically and creatively, solve complex problems, and to communicate well. Mastery of the basics: reading, writing, maths and technology is our core purpose, and this sits firmly alongside ensuring our children have well-developed social and emotional skills. Aspire academies have a strong emphasis on the sport, arts and social, moral spiritual and cultural education.
All our 36 schools and academies are an integral part of their local communities and have a real sense of identity. We value the contribution each of our communities makes and the distinctive opportunities and diversity it offers to the Trust. By working in true partnership, we offer exceptional learning experiences to all our children, so they benefit from the strength that being part of the extended Aspire family brings. If you want to learn more about us, then please visit our website at www.aspireacademytrust.org

I look forward to hopefully welcoming you to the Aspire family!

Head of School Welcome
I am very proud to be the Head of School at Bude Primary Academy - Infants.

Our school puts children at the very heart of all we do. Our staff are committed to provide a nurturing, loving and caring place for
children to learn and grow where children feel valued and safe.

We set high, but achievable, expectations for learning and behaviour across the school which helps children to thrive. We do our best to cement strong relationships with parents and offer support that extends beyond the school gates when needed. We believe all children have the right to a wonderful start in life and value the trust that is put into us to help this to happen. We welcome all families, old and new, to begin this journey with us.

Kind regards,
Vanessa Holt
Our Mission Statement
We are a school where:
Everyone feels safe, nurtured and loved.
Our children develop a enthusiasm for learning through rich, creative and engaging opportunities, with lots of fun and laughter along the way.
We empower and support our children to become confident, resilient and motivated learners who can work independently and collaboratively.
We embrace individuality through a wholly inclusive approach.
We encourage our children to have high expectations of themselves so that they can achieve their aspirations.
We embrace and celebrate the achievements of all both within and beyond school.
We prepare our children to be well-rounded and responsible citizens of the future.

Assemblies and celebrations

Our assemblies each week reinforce our rules, our character values and cover a broad range of themes including British values, diversity, inclusion and tolerance, as well as PSED, relationships, well-being and current affairs. Our special aspiration assemblies encourage links with the community and invite family members and guests to talk about their hobbies, careers, experiences in order to inspire and broaden our children's horizons. We have Paddington Assemblies, where Paddington Bear visits different countries and we learn about culture, religions, festivals and environments around the world. Every week we hold wonderful Celebration Assemblies where we invite parent(s)/carer(s) to come and watch their children receive a plethora of rewards centred around learning, bucket filling (kindness/helpfulness), reading at home and achievements out of school.
Our school rules

Our children are at the heart of all we do. Their safety, happiness and confidence is our first priority. We promote positive behaviour through rewards, praise and reinforcement. We also teach that school is a safe place to make mistakes.

Values - We have 7 character values which are integral to our whole school ethos and are celebrated and encouraged in class and beyond. We have developed our own animal characters and stories, and built a special library of books, to demonstrate these values in an infant friendly way.

Safeguarding
"We have a commitment to safeguard our children."

"We all have a responsibility to act if we are
worried about a child.
All children have a right to be safe no matter
who they are or what their circumstance."

"Keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility."
Every academy within the Aspire Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.
