Reasons for Founding!

ONE of the reasons for founding was so that people could make money.

The first state, Maryland was originally for Catholics only.

Another reason was to keep the Spanish from moving north from Florida. That led them to founding Georgia for Debtors which were people from jail that committed crimes and were given a chance to start a new life.

Geography

This place was a farmer's dream! The Southern Colonies have all types of crops to grow. Unlike the middle and New England Colonies.

Their summers were steaming hot and the winters were still fine to grow stuff. They had all types of cash crops like tobacco,rice,indigo,corn,wheat,cotton, and fruit trees. They also raised cattle for beef to eat. All of this meant that this land was for farmers to make a living and become rich.

Economy

They're were many great and creative ways people made that good stuff named money. One beautiful way they made money from was obviously farming. They also made that good stuff from lumbering, shipping, fishing buying/selling slave, and trading goods with American Indians.

Religion

The 2 religions practiced in the Southern Colonies were Anglican and Baptist.

UGH . Quakers and Puritans. My nightmare. We're TOLERANT[ throwing shade at the puritans in Massachusetts Bay.]

You guys know that only allowing puritans to come and live in the New England colonies is messed up. You should be TOLERANT instead of kicking people out because of their religion. Also pure evil!

Ugh. The middle colonies. You guys can't even fish! That's sad. Also, why are you killing innocent animals that didn't do anything to you. That's pure evil!

Like I said, a farmer's dream!
