About digital books at home

The goal of NHE Library is to provide students will a variety of reading materials to encourage a life-long love of reading. During this time of physical library closure there have been a ton of wonderful companies offering FREE access to some incredible ebooks - all for YOU!

In the pages of this book you will find clickable links to the websites of these companies. Some will require usernames and passwords, others won't. Some books will be animated "movies", some will require you to turn the pages yourself, some will just be books to listen to without pictures. Take some time to explore all the different options and HAVE FUN!

Please be aware that some companies offer access to levels of books beyond elementary school, so parents, please supervise students as they select what they want to read to ensure its appropriateness for your student. HAPPY READING!

This site offers reviews from all kinds of book readers including professional book reviewers.

NHE Library Catalog

After you locate the NHE Library Catalog at destiny.sandi.net (Remember: You have to choose our school name from the list of elementary schools.), you can log in with your student ID and choose the CATALOG from the menu. To see all the eBooks, just choose "Electronic Book (eBooks)" from the Material Type dropdown menu and hit "Enter" on your keyboard. The results will all be eBooks you can virtually check out and read.

Audible by Amazon

AudibleStories allows you to search a list of free ebooks by grade level category and/or language like Spanish, French and more! Each book features a star rating so you know just how great the book will be before you read it!

Capstone Interactive eBooks

Visit CapstoneLibrary and click "Log In" to find all kids of awesome NON-FICTION ebooks. This website will ask for a username and password, but don't worry, they're easy to remember!
Username: continue Password: reading

Epic! Books

Go to Epic! Books to log in to our school account with code aqa0823.
Select your teacher's name and get reading! To find books in Spanish, type the word "Spanish" in the search box.

Junior Library Guild eBooks

Go to Junior Library Guild eBooks and simply click on a book to go to its page, then click the “Read” or “Play” button to begin reading/listening. Audiobooks are designated with a headphone icon on the lower right corner of the book cover; ebooks are designated with a tablet icon on the lower right corner.
You shouldn't need to login, just scroll down to access the books.

Scholastic Learn at Home

Go to Scholastic Learn at Home choose your grade level group and read away! Every Monday, the Learn At Home page is updated with five more days of learning journeys so check back often! Also, be sure to check out the Daily Reading Quest link at the top of each week!
