What is coding and why is it valuable?
Coding (or programming) can be seen as a way of communicating with computers. Programmers give computers instructions, and the computer carries them out. Without it, computers would be unable to function. Code is needed to run any variety of functions on our computers, from searching a simple question to buying something online.
While the concept of coding may sound complicated, there are simple learning tools you can use that feature fun ways to teach kids to code. In School of Gaming, for example, we use Minecraft EE MakeCode and ubbu.io
To make it simple, we give our Agents (in Minecraft) instructions what to do, in the same way as programmers write code to have a computer work.
People who know how to code (i.e., coders, programmers, developers) can create games, apps, computer software, websites, and interactive digital content.

CHAPTER 1
REMOTE CONTROL
First we need remote controls
That is small code with short logic commands how to navigate our Agent where we want it

Teleport
On chat command 'tp'
= you open the chat (with the letter T) and write 'tp' (shortening for 'teleport')
Agent teleport to player
= when you write 'tp' in the chat and press ENTER your agent will teleport to you.

Moving you Agent
Now we need to create the basic code how to move your Agent. Hopefully it now starts to make sense why we use short & logic commands to maneuver our helper - you need to run the code repeatedly.
