I dedicate my book to my mother, Jayne, who took me on my first roller coaster.Loading...
It is the first day of summer vacation. My brother Rob and I are at an Amusement Park. Right away he leads me to the roller coaster.
Rob says, “This year you are tall enough to ride it.
Let’s go!”
“But I’m SCARED,” I yell.
Rob scolds me and says,
“Don’t be a chicken, Matt.”

Rob scolds me and says,
“Don’t be a chicken, Matt.”
Standing in line I hear the screams from the kids on the roller coaster as it races past me. I can feel my hands tremble in fear.
Rob and I take a seat. The harness clicks into place. It’s too late to run away.
I hear a voice. I realize the roller coaster is trying to calm me. It’s says “Listen to my song as I move along the track, clickety clack, clickety clack.”
