FAQs

All students from grades 4-8 in the Canton City Schools are eligible to attend STEAMM Academy @ Hartford.

Canton City School District buses students from all four quadrants (NE, NW, SE, and SW) to the STEAMM Academy @ Hartford.

100% of our qualified students get accepted to Early College High School.

We have all sports for 7th & 8th-grade students: volleyball, cross country, soccer, football, basketball, wrestling, track, cheerleading, and a rugby club unique to our academy.

Our music program consists of three concert bands, a lab jazz band, a jazz ensemble, choir, and string orchestra led by educators who are also professional musicians.

The second M in STEAMM is for our medical partnerships with Mercy Medical and Cleveland Clinic.

We offer advanced-level classes for qualified students.

We service students with IEPs.

Engineering classes are offered to 6th, 7th and 8th-grade students for the full year. Students learn Design & Modeling, Energy in the Environment, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science I and II, Green Architecture, and Automation & Robotics by the time they finish 8th grade.

We offer Computer Programming for students to learn HTML, Java, and Python.
