Class 6 Autumn Term 1<br/>Learning Journey

We added white to primary colours to make tints and see what shades we could mix.

We used the primary colours to mix together to see what secondary colours we produced. We painted a colour wheel and saw the relationship between primary and secondary colours.

We used the beebots which are programmable toys. We made them turn, go forward and backwards. We programmed an algorhythm into them to follow.

In our maths lessons we have been adding two numbers on ten frames, counting accurately and finding the total. We have used part-whole diagrams, ten frames and equations to show our learning and level of understanding.

We studied the artist Mondrian, who works in primary colours. We used collage to make shapes out of lines and filled the shapes with colour. We worked in his style and responded to his artwork.

We learnt how to use our new trim trail in the playground. We stretched, balanced, jumped  and worked as a team to get across. It was a great start to our year and we started developing our physical control.
