In 1922, Frida was accepted into the National Prepatory School, which was an honour because they had only started to accept girls. Frida dreamed of becoming a doctor.

I caught polio, a viral infection like COVID!

When Frida was 6, she caught polio, which left her with a thinner and shorter right leg. She had to wear a brace to help her leg.

Her father was a photographer, and her mother was strict and religious. Frida had three sisters.
