When you eat your food it goes through your oesophagus . Then it goes into your stomach . After that it goes into your small intestines then into your large intestines . Then out through the rectum .

There are four types of teeth you have are wisdom teeth which are right at the back of your mouth . Then you have canines they are the ones just at the side of your incisors they are very pointy also they are used for gripping and tearing food . Then you have the molars and premolars they are at the back of your mouth and are used for crushing food . Then there are the incisors they are at the front and are used for bitting of food .

Food hangs out in the stomach for at least four hours . Whilst the food sits there , more enzymes go to work on it breaking down things like proteins . The stomach kills a lot of bad bacteria as well so we don’t be sick .

What happens in your stomach?

The small intestines are at least 9 metres long . It starts with juices from the liver and pancreas to continue to break down your food . The second part is when your food gets absorbed from the intestine and in to our body through the blood .

The large intestine is for any food that the body doesn’t need or can’t use use is sent to the large intestine and later leaves the body as waste .
