What is the digestive system?

The digestive system is a group of organs that help to break down food.

What happens in your intestines?

The intestines take the minerals and nutrients from the food.The leftover things are called faeces. Also,the  water gets sucked out.

The liver stores and secretes bile to put into the ileum and the pancreas aids with other things.

Your food goes through your mouth and then down your oesophagus.From there, it gets broken down in the stomach and enters the duodenum.The intestines are called the Colon and Ileum. Also , the waste leaves the body from the anus.

What happens in your stomach?

Inside the stomach,enzymes and stomach acid break down the food.Stomach acid can dissolve metal!

Your teeth are the start of the digestive system.

Your wisdom teeth are no longer needed .You can have them or not.

You have two sets of teeth in your lifetime: your milk teeth and your adult teeth.You have from up to 32 teeth.
