I'm safe at school

Once upon a time, there were six high schools in six countries. What they wanted more was to help their students and fight against bullying. They decided it was time to put their minds together as in unity there is strength. They worked together and applied for a project that would help them all. This is how I'm safe at school was born.

THEY STARTED TO TALK TO STUDENTS ABOUT BULLYING, BUT ALSO LEARN ABOUT EACH OTHER, APPRECIATE EACH OTHER'S CULTURE

Tuesday 20 November 2018 The presentation of our project in front of 100 people in Liceul Tehnic Buzau's festivities hall. We also presented our countries, cities and schools. We were honored by the presence of representatives from different institutions and the event was on TV-Campus TV is the television that filmed it.

Wednesday, 21 November 2018, started with a visit to the City Hall. There, the deputy-mayor received us in the Great Hall of Festivities. He told us information about the building, talked about the projects of the administration, but, most of all, listened to information about our project and guaranteed his full support in our efforts to make a change in our communities. The Global Education Week was celebrated by all the partners in a wonderful and fruitful activity. Romanian students and our guests worked together, communicated, created posters in order to show how the world is changing and how we should react. It was great and students really enjoyed it!

HERE ARE SOME THOUGHTS FROM RIGHT BEFORE THE FIRST MEETING: 'Here is the story of our 1st meeting, a gathering that makes me wait impatiently for the next. I will describe the meeting day by day. The really bad weather on Monday, 19 November, has really given me "the shivers" when thinking that there might be delays in the flight schedule. Everything went on well though. Liceul Tehnic Buzau was ready to meet its wonderful guests. And so it did on Tuesday, 20 November 2018. To be continued...'

The main objective of our project was the exchange of good practices We planned a two year project that would lead us to three specific objectives: - increasing the self-esteem of our students and the sense of belonging to their schools and the European community - reducing the number of bullying cases - building an anti-bullying strategy in each school by 'borrowing' the best practices from our partners and personalizing their methods to our own background.

AFTER THIS GREAT MEETING, WORK CONTINUED ALL PARTNERS PREPARED THEIR LOGOS FOR THE COMPETITION AND MATERIALS FOR THE FOLLOWING PART OF THE PROJECT: - A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TEENAGER - VIDEOS AND OTHER MATERIALS FOR THE EBOOK ABOUT OUR COUNTRIES, OUR CULTURAL HERITAGE THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

IT WAS TIME TO MEET LICEUL TEHNIC, BUZAU, ROMANIA- THE DESTINATION ONE OR TWO TEACHERS FROM EACH COUNTRY WERE TO TRAVEL HERE AND DISCUSS THEIR WORK FOR THE FOLLOWING YEARS WHO KNEW THIS WOULD BE THE BEGINNING OF A WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIP AND OF A FRUITFUL PROJECT?!
