"Romeo and Juliet should never even meet! The more we can keep them apart, the better."
In Twinningham, the Capulet and Montague families are enemies. They were once friends, but this changed after Sir Luke Montague and Miss Angelica Capulet ran away together because they were tired of their boring lives in Twinningham. They left on Sir Luke's old motorbike, with him driving. During their journey, Sir Luke lost control of the motorbike and crashed into a rock. Unfortunately, Miss Angelica died, and the Capulet family never forgave Luke. The Montague family refused to believe that Luke was responsible and insisted that Angelica had jumped off the motorbike, despite Luke admitting his fault. This disagreement has led to ongoing street fights between the families.
The Mayor of Twinningham proclaims to Lord Capulet and Lord Montague, “If you ever fight in this city’s jurisdiction again, you and your families will both go to prison.” The two families had a promise between them that their children would never enter into a relationship.
The Capulets have a daughter named Juliet. She is 14 years old, a very social and funny girl who enjoys going to school every day to learn new things.
Paris, who is 15 years old and known for his arrogance and fussiness, is a friend of Tybalt, Juliet’s cousin. He asks Lord Capulet if he can date Juliet, but Lord Capulet feels she is way too young.“Lord, please let me go out with Juliet! I love her and I’m perfect for her!” Paris urges.
"Nope, not happening! Juliet's still a kid; she's not ready," Lord Capulet shuts it down.
However, he decides to invite Paris to a house party for Juliet’s birthday, so he can win Juliet over.
Juliet promises her mother, Lady Capulet, and her nanny that she will ‘pretend to like’ Paris when she meets him at their house party. After that, she talks with her best friend, Lyna, and decides to invite her whole class to the party.

Juliet: “Don’t be too enthusiastic, Lyna. We're just talking about our same old little school, nothing more than that. Our schoolmates aren't all that charming, actually.”
I WANT TO WIN JULIET OVER!
