"Kazania" and wineries The production of the traditional tsipouros is a rite of passage for Tyrnavos in the months of October, November and December. Traditional distilleries and wineries operate in Tyrnavos, producing tsipouro, ouzo and famous wines.

Larissa has got a long history.Thw landmark of the town is a magnificent ancient theatre.It was built in the 3rd century and it was one of the largest ancient theatres having a capacity of 10.000 people.

Biggest park

In our village there is a school. Lots of kids go there. There are five parks, the biggest park is next to the school. In our small village there are also three swimming pools, one is small, one is average-size and the other one is big.

Vine - Wine - Human House Museum. The Karassos Mansion is a bequest from the heirs of the Karassos family to the Municipality of Tyrnavos, with the aim of functioning as a Folklore Museum.

Vrisi of Tyrnavos An artificial lake where it is traditionally a recreational area for the residents of the surrounding areas and is an important wetland and station for migratory birds.

Metohia From the period of the Turkish occupation until today, many Metohia, small churches from the post-Byzantine period, have been preserved in the courtyards of houses.

“Hero” Monument, created by Mimis Getekos in honor of the Tyrnavites who were killed in the Greek-Turkish War of 1919~1922.

Tyrnavos Bridge at Titarisios river Impressive stone bridge at the entrance of Tyrnavos. Built around 1900, it consists of ten arches and still serves the communication between Tyrnavos and Larissa. It bridges the Titaris River, also known as Xerias. It has been declared a protected monument by the Ministry of Culture.

Statue of Achilles Tzartzanos Achilleas Tzartzanos was born in Tyrnavos in 1873. He is considered the father of the Greek language because he wrote the Greek grammar.

Location ... Our village is built between two steep hills, Vigla and Agios Theodoros and next to the bank of the Titarisios river. It is 28 kilometers from the capital of the prefecture, Larissa and 10 from Tyrnavos. In this place, during antiquity, there was the ancient city of Myles.

”Kazarmes” Until 1912-1913, Tyrnavos was on the border line between free Greece and that occupied by the Turks. On the heights above the town of Tyrnavos there are the remains of 3 Greek and Turkish border outposts (Kazarmes as they were called).

Church of Agios Dimitrios One of the oldest and most important churches of Tyrnavos located in the south of the city, near our school and dating back to 1647. The church burned down almost completely in 1996 and was restored in the same place. It celebrates on October 26.

The land where present-day Vialonga stands was occupied by humans in the prehistoric ages, as evidenced by the&nbsp;dolmen&nbsp;cemeteries in Monte Serves. It is believed that the settlement in this area comes from the times of Moorish rule in Iberian Peninsula. Over the centuries, the settlement had various subtle changes in its name: Vila Longa, Vila-Longa, Via Longa, Via-Longa, until the current form "Vialonga".

Torregrossa is a small village. It has around  2200 inhabitants. It is located in a rural area, surrounded by fruit trees and cereal fields. The nearest city is Lleida (137800 inhabitants) and it is 20km away.

There is a castle. The castle is old. There is also a church. There are two shops, there are clothes, schoolbags, pencils... There are also two supermarkets.
