Missouri is one of Union as the 24th state in 1821. 1821 - The Santa Fe Trail opens from Missouri to New Mexico, Plus in 1826 - Jefferson City becomes the state capital. Genevieve was the oldest town in Missouri. The first permanent of the white settlement is now Missouri, was founded by 1750.
