CHAPTER 1: CAUSES OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION
There are seven causes of the Revolutionary War.
The first cause was called the French and Indian War.
This war was fought against the French and Great Britain.
But in the end, Great Britain won the land between the Mississippi River and the Appalachian Mountains.
This was great news for the British, but they were in great dept.
After that, the Quartering Act was created. And it allowed British soldiers to go into colonist's homes and the colonists would have to house and feed the soldiers and pay for their belongings. If any of the colonists refused to let the solder/soldiers in they would be punished. Soon after that, the Stamp Act was created. It stated that anything the colonists paid for that was on paper then they would have to pay a tax. For example, colonists had to pay a tax for playing cards, for a marriage licenses, and for stamps.
