How the Panda got its black eyepatches

When the dawn drew to a close on the first day of the world, Panda’s head swarmed with dreams of becoming a famous fighter. His cluttered cavern was engraved with claw marks; a tight corner was filled with bamboo to practice and sun beamed onto the far wall. Animals would always tell him that he was a wimp but that didn’t put an end to his belief. Day and night, humid or bitter winds, he would still practice. Cream white fur protruded from his body and his obsidian black arms were just visible in the ascending sun.
As a new day began and the old came to a halt, Panda surveyed the Rocky Mountains surrounding his sloped cave and spotted a colourless elephant. Deciding to go talk to it, the elephant listened closely to Pandas dream. Although his announcement was long it simply replied sharply with, “Haha you’ll never be a warrior!” and it walked off sniggering at his seemingly ridiculous endeavour.

Through the distance, a faint figure caught his eye. It was a monkey. As he meandered up to meet it, Panda felt confident it would support him on the journey to for fill his dream. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, the monkey answered, “Dream on kiddo.”
Making the decision to sign up for a class, Panda’s heart lifted when he saw that others had signed up for the first time. As the clock struck noon, Panda scaled up the steep precipice to fight. Blood stained the stone ground; animals stared menacingly at him but one monkey looked extremely vile. It was the monkey he had met! His jaw dropped at the sight and a grin smothered its mouth.
“Oi you Panda! “the master announced. “Fight that monkey!”
During the battle, Panda got punched in the eyes and his fur was forced into his sweaty face. After that day, he would practice everywhere even in his sleep!

The next morning, Panda had no water left and so he rifled down to the river baring a wooden barrel creating splinters in his paws.
Glancing down into the crystal-clear waters of the stream, he noticed black eye patches circulating his sky-blue eyes. Panda dunked his head underwater but when it bobbed back up to the surface they were still there. He thought of the patches as a gift to make him menacing like all the other creatures. Tempestuous winds blew in his face but he fort against it and rocketed to the lesson.
From that day onwards, Pandas’ have black eye patches and this particular panda became a master. Never give up and you can achieve anything.
