An anecdote has three parts:
Beginning, Middle, End

Una anecdota tiene tres partes: inicio, mediación y final.

Beginning:
Is where the author introduces the main characters, the setting, and, conflict.

Inicio:
Es cuando el autor introduce los personajes principales, la escena y el conflicto.

Middle:
Here a series of events or complication occurs. 

Mediación:
Aqui ocurre una serie de eventos o complicaciones.
