We were very excited to go to Warwick Castle and we got on the coach. The journey took a very long time. We sat very high up and it was amazing to see all the fields and farm animals.

First Richard told us all the rules of the Castle. The most important rule is if you don't smile you'll get kicked out!

As we walked through the gatehouse we saw the two portcullises. It was very dark and we could see armour and shields. I felt happy to be in a historic building.
Next we climbed the steps to the battlements. When we looked down our friends looked like ants.
Then we went up the steep spiral staircase. From the top of Guy's Tower we could see really far because it was so high. Being so high made us feel a bit sick and a little bit nervous. The view was amazing though.
After that we went to the Great Hall. It was so big it could fit knights, horses, shields and armour into it.
There was an enormous boat gun that would fit on the side of a ship. I loved the display of swords on the wall and the magnificent antlers.
After that it was lunchtime and we looked for the falconry display.
Unfortunately we got lost by the peacocks but then we found Harry the Hawk and we were relieved because we were HUNGRY.
He flew so close to our heads that we were worried he would land on us.
The falconer swung a piece of meat and Harry the hawk was trying to get it.
Then we went to the motte and bailey.
We looked through the telescope to admire the stunning views. It was very windy because we were so high up. It was a bit nerve-racking.
