Observations
Some of our water sources leak water into the drain which wastes a lot of water.
One of our sinks has been running constantly for two weeks!
The water faucets are dirtier than they should be.
The Pipes are very rusty and it was leaking but they are still holding up fine!
We use 64 liters of water on average when showering.
Water Usage
We use 79 liters a day when we wash our hands.
We use 24 liters of chilled water per hour from a water fountain.
This is a water meter! It counts how many liters of water you waste.
We use 6 litters of water when we flush the toilet.
How can we reduce water usage?
We can reduce water usage by taking shorter showers.
We can reduce water usage by washing hands 20 seconds minimum.
We can reduce water usage by using the toilet at least 6-8 times a day.
Accessibility
Most of our water fountains here at Kernan Middle School are easy to access for students and adults. Also, our bathrooms are accessible to both students and staff/teachers every building has a bathroom for students but around the school there are staff only bathrooms.
There are sinks that
are not accessible
to kids and or cluttered
with things and stuff.
How can we improve availability?
