A Picture Book of Contemplative PrayerWith thanks to my Godmother, Maria, for helping me grow in my playfulness with nature before God.
Foreword
I have been walking daily with God, in silence, since my school days. This walking with God has progressively grown into an increasingly rich experience; a one of whole-heartedly being and sharing before and with God, and in doing so coming to a fuller sense of who I am and my identity as a child of God.
I can't quite remember exactly what it was which sparked this series of sketches but it was something along the lines of wanting to express and reflect the vividness of experience I have when outdoors with God, and in doing so bringing those experiences indoors with me. Encapsulated within this was the slight sadness that so much of theology and God is communicated in complicated words, and feeling passionate about communicating the simplicity of prayer.
Family and friends have since encouraged me to make a book out of my sketches. At the very least it'll give you a glimpse of what I get to up to with God on my walks, and I perhaps tentatively hope that they may also inspire you in some way.

running down on the beard
running down on the beard
