Primrose Class
Primrose Class visited St Keverne fire station to learn more about fire safety in our local community. Big thanks to Craig Peters and the other fire fighters for assisting the children with exploring the vehicles, uniform and testing the equipment!
Primrose Class carefully followed a recipe to make bread roll dough and Mrs Dowker was trusted to play the role of Thomas Farriner and baked the rolls in her oven! The next day we ate them for our break time snack! Then we focused on instructional writing and re-wrote the recipe, including bossy verbs, command sentences and adverbs.
Mohegan Class
This term Mohegan class have been very busy practicing our independent writing skills and have written some fabulous versions of the Princess and the pea, with their own twist.
We have also been learning how to write to persuade and have written some persuasive letters on subjects such as homework, more playtime and where we eat our lunch. One young lady has even written to King Charles regarding his Coronation being on Flora Day. This will be posted and hopefully we will have a reply from HRH!
In Art we have been focusing on the work from various artists such as Megan Coyle, this has resulted in some truly amazing art work which is displayed in the class room.
PSHE has resulted in some great discussions around the subject of my body, my choice and I have been very impressed with the level of maturity shown by all during these lessons.
In History we have been focusing on the Indus Valley and have some work suitable for museum pieces!
This has been a busy but highly rewarding term
