One cold winter evening Mark Flynn’s Dad told Flynn and I to go to the old spooky rotary cowshed and get some cow paint. “Flynn are you ready to go” I said patiently. “Yes” Flynn replied. We walked outside and got our gumboots on. The cowshed was very old and hadn't been used for years, It was dangerous because the roof could collapse.

When we got inside it started to bucket down. We turned on our torches and had a look around. There was a lot of wet paper on the ground. We walked over to the cupboard were Mark had told us the cow paint would be. We started to get paint out of the cupboard when we heard a weak and desperate moo. At first we didn't know where it was coming from. It must be a cow trapped inside, we thought.

When we were almost there the clouds were very grey and dull it looked like it was about to rain. “HURRY UP Let's get to the cowshed before it rains” Flynn said loudly.
Just then I saw a door that lead into what I think was the milking platform. I tried to open it but it was not moving. We ran around to see if there was another entrance into the cowshed. Fortunately there was. ”should we try and get the cow out” I said loudly. ”I will check how deep it is be for we get our gunbots full of water” Flynn shouted. “How deep is it?” I replied. ”I think you will be able to walk in it“replied Flynn. “We need to find a door that will open out so we can drain the water out,” I called.

“Go round the other side and open the gates” I yelled. ”Let’s get the cow out into a paddock” Flynn said. Suddenly the cow looked pleased to see us. When we had gotten the cow out into the paddock there was a massive angry bull blowing steam from his huge nostrils.

The bull raced up behind Flynn and I and it chased us through the paddock. The bull is scruffy and had big horns a long tail, red eyes, big lump on the neck, hair down it's spine and was matt black. He was the scariest looking bull I had ever seen.“We lost him” Flynn said pufing. We locked the gate and headed back to the Spooky cowshed.
When we got home we told Mark all about what happened.

"We don’t have bulls on the farm. " he replied.
We gathered the paint we had left there. Once we had got the paint we started to walk back up to the house with one torch on because the other one had died, talking about our close encounter with the bull.
