Welcome to the Aspire Academy Trust.
Aspire is a vibrant, highly successful and widely recognised Trust determined to raise standards of educational achievement to the very highest levels. We don’t just aim for our children to achieve what is average or expected, but for them to excel both academically and in character.
We live in a global economy that requires our children to be prepared to think both critically and creatively, solve complex problems, and to communicate well. Mastery of the basics: reading, writing, maths and technology is our core purpose, and this sits firmly alongside ensuring our children have well-developed social and emotional skills. Aspire academies have a strong emphasis on the sport, arts and social, moral spiritual and cultural education.
All our 36 schools and academies are an integral part of their local communities and have a real sense of identity. We value the contribution each of our communities makes and the distinctive opportunities and diversity it offers to the Trust. By working in true partnership, we offer exceptional learning experiences to all our children, so they benefit from the strength that being part of the extended Aspire family brings. If you want to learn more about us, then please visit our website at www.aspireacademytrust.org

I look forward to hopefully welcoming you to the Aspire family!

Head of School Welcome
Welcome to Tintagel Primary School.

We are so looking forward to welcoming you and your child into our school community in September. Being a small school, we really know our children and work alongside our families and the wider community to deliver the best experiences that we can offer. Tintagel Primary School is a happy and vibrant place and we are very proud of our school and its tribe of learners.

Learning is our core business and our children relish in our Enquiry approach to learning. Children are nurtured and encouraged to be the best they can be. We support our children to be pro-active learners, have the confidence to have a voice and participate whole heartedly in all aspects of school life.

Reading is at the very roots of our curriculum and is entwined into all elements of our learning. We as a team, are committed to exposing our children to beautiful, high quality texts to really instil a love of reading and to develop a community of life-long readers.

We want all children to find delight in their learning, to be open-minded and we hope to be the catalyst which opens doors to all that the world has to offer.

I look forward to meeting you all in the near future.

Vision
We strongly believe that whilst in our care, every child deserves the very best chance of becoming a positive force for learning in the widest sense. We promote an environment which seeks to remove barriers to learning and nurture pupils towards their best potential. Each child brings with them a unique and complex web of skills and needs. As passionate educators, we seek to enhance their skills and respond to their needs so that they feel confident in aspiring to a positive future.

At Tintagel Primary School we are firm believers that the Foundation Stage is a vital and exciting time for children. It quite literally builds their educational platform giving stability to all learning that follows. During this time, children develop quickly and we want to make sure they have the best start to their school life with us.
These are the areas of learning which are developed during the early years foundation stage. We learn through play with the help of our teachers and enabling environments.
