A Little Christmas Fun

About the Author

My name is Jayson and I am NYS certified 7-12 math teacher. For the first 17 years in my district, I taught Math 7, Math 8 and Algebra I. For the last 2 years, I have been a Teacher on Special Assignment and supporting colleagues as a Technology Integration Specialist.

While I was still in the classroom, I had this desire to try and bring some joy to my students during the month of December. I used all sorts of crazy 'hooks' to get students to attempt their math. In fact, some hooks didn't involve math at all! But it helped build a relationship between myself and my students. A relationship that allowed them to have a little fun, then attempt some learning.

The activities in this book, are activities of the old school variety. Being a current Technology Integration Specialist, I thought I should enhance them to demonstrate how we can use technology to modernize some old school methods.
