I took your advice and wrapped my soup in tinfoil and it stayed warm! Thanks everybody you did a great job!

Aim of the investigation!

Now that we have our materials, what do we do?

To see which material is the best insulator to keep Sam's soup warm!

An insulator is a material that slows down the loss of heat!

1. The same amount of water was added into all cups and at the same temperature.

3. The same amount of each material was used

4. All cups were recorded every 30 seconds.

3. While the kettle is boiling, cut all of the materials into the same size shape

4. Cover four paper cups with the different materials and secure the material with a rubber band

5. Pour the hot water into the cups and get the ice cubes and thermometer ready

6.Place the thermometer and two ice cubes into each insulated cup

7.Record the temperature after every thirty seconds for 3 minutes.

8. Take note of your results to compare them at the end.
